Official Business
As the weather turns warmer and days seem to get busier, I have decided to close the Dessert Club.
I went back and forth for a while, for many reasons - but mainly just because I enjoy getting together with you guys and sharing laughter, stories and made-with-love Desserts. It's the friendships built and strengthened that were the real purpose behind each meeting - and it never left me hungry! :) Dessert Club was always much more to me than just getting together to take in some calories. It was about caring for each other - sharing our time, talents, and upliftment.
I want to still spend time with all of you - so I sincerely hope that I'll be seeing you all at the now monthly Enrichment Activities held by the
If you need to know when they are and would like more information on them, give me a holler! :))
In the meantime, don't forget that each day brings us so many good things to fill our time with. I encourage everyone to take a little piece of Dessert Club and spread it! Take a plate of cookies to your neighbor. Send a sweet note to someone you admire. Invite someone into your own home to enjoy a little dessert together!

Change Up ...
I need some input here - The idea is floating that Dessert Club should be change to ONCE a month - the third Wednesday evening. Please vote to the right. Also, if you are interested in Hosting, please email me and/or leave a comment.

As a bit of new information, With the new year has come a new inspiration for the Dessert Club. We now have a Dessert Club Box that travels through our Hostess' homes. Among other things, the Hostess will find a book containing hundreds of inspirational quotes. Our Dessert Club meetings have been so yummy for our appetites, but I am hoping this will add a little more edification to our souls :) The Hostess is to select a
"Quote of the Evening"
This quote does not have to come from the book - it can come from anywhere. It just needs to be something that the Hostess can share with us to inspire - on any topic. Make us laugh, make us cry, make us want to change the world - all those things are options :)
There is also now a set of GET-TO-KNOW-YOU Cards, which include funny and clever questions on them. They are to be set out and when a woman enters the house, she should RANDOMLY
select a card - this is to be the question she should be asking each person she talks to that evening. It should make for some great conversations!
I am really looking forward to more moments with you all. I am very grateful to be blessed to live near so many wonderful, enjoyable and uplifting women.
